Assignments

All assignments should be completed and handed in at the assigned date at the beginning of class unless otherwise noted. Work handed in passed the deadline will drop one letter grade and will continue to drop each additional class.

Icon / Interface Element Collection

Comb the Internet, software on your computer and your computer's OS for interesting icons (print, more info, download) and interface elements (play buttons, next buttons, scroll bars). Download the graphic files or take snap shots using the short cuts APPLE > SHIFT > 3 or 4 then place them in a program of your choice noting that the final product will need to be a PDF. See schedule for due date.

  • 30 to 40 elements
  • Try to see this as a learning exercise designed to encourage you to give an in-depth look at these elements not just as busy work
  • Scan an even and wide variety of sources (Web Pages, Software, Etc).
